Canvasing Infrequent Voters

Time to Start Working!

Join us as we speak with our neighbors about this year’s elections.

For June, the canvassing will focus on infrequent voters in Cleveland Heights.  The purpose is to hear from infrequent voters about their concerns, as opposed to more typical canvassing aimed at persuading voters to support our candidates.  We hope you will join us for a shift or three!  Walk lists will be about 30 doors.

Electing Sherrod Brown and the rest of our Democratic slate is necessary to bring a better life to you and your neighbors. Democrats will fight for common sense solutions to issues facing Ohioans, such as insufficient public school funding, serious deficiencies in health care and transportation, hurdles to voting and corruption among elected officials.

Electing our Democratic slate also holds the key to attacking the gerrymandering that is leading to so much waste and so many bad decisions for Ohio.

Please sign up to canvass here.

We also need volunteers to help assemble lit packs, make phone calls or texts and staff the office for canvasses.  Please sign up here.

Juan DelGado, ODP Regional Organizer, has created a public-facing calendar that you can view  here   This spreadsheet will include events, like the office opening, the canvass on June 6 and the social event highlighted below, with their Mobilize links, making it easy for you to sign up for various events.  Check it out!

Volunteer to Help at Community Events

As part of our community outreach, Cleveland Heights Dems will staff tables at community events this summer.  For example, we gave had a tables recently at Juneteenth at Cain Park, at the Caledonia Community Center Juneteenth and at the Heights 100th Anniversary on Friday and Sunday. On June 27th we will have a table at Pride in the Park. More events will be announced in the future.

Volunteers talk to our neighbors about voter registration, their preferences for how to spend tax dollars and volunteer opportunities.  As the summer rolls on, we will also discuss voting, early voting, etc.   Typical shift is 2 hours.
